Unfortunately, we found no studies that described (or indeed studied) the difference between generic alendronate and Fosamax.

MSD, the manufacturer on Fosamax, may be able to advise – via their medicines information unit (tel: 01992 467 272).  Alternatively, we can forward your question to a specialist medicines information unit.  If you would like us to do this, let us know via ‘Contact Us’ (http://www.clinicalanswers.nhs.uk/index.cfm?action=contact)
