Ganfyd (a medical wiki) reports [1]:
"The arrhythmia interpretation is now usually done automatically by a computer. The further interpretation should be done relative to a patient diary. The normal physiological variation of heart rate has to be understood, as does the patient context. In elderly patients non significant arrythmias are common and over interpretation of a 24 hour ECG is a potential issue."
